Monolith & Heart is a handmade rug brand based in Jaipur. We work with weaving artisans in and around the city to make rugs for homes and designers around the world.
Why rugs
A rug changes how a room feels, but it also has a practical job. It needs to suit the furniture, feel right underfoot and work with the way you use the space. Those are the things we want to help you get right.
Jaipur is where we work and where our rugs are made. Working directly with the people who make them helps us understand the materials, discuss custom requests and keep you informed while your rug is being made.
The name and the elephant
Monolith & Heart brings together two things we value: work that lasts and care for the people behind it. The elephant in our logo is a nod to Rajasthan, our home.
How we work
Most rugs are made to order. Choose a listed size, or ask about a custom size or colour where available. We’ll explain the options and timing before you decide.
Each product page tells you the materials and how the rug is made. You can see the work for yourself on our People & Making page.
Buying a rug online can leave you with questions about size, colour and feel. We’re here to talk those through. If a sample would help, ask us about the options for the rug you’re considering.
Who’s behind it
Monolith & Heart was started by Ritikesh and works from Jaipur, alongside the weavers who make our rugs.

Where are your rugs made?
By hand, in and around Jaipur, Rajasthan. That's where we design every rug and where our weavers work.
Are the rugs really handmade?
Yes. Every rug is hand-knotted, handwoven, flatwoven or hand-tufted, and each product page says which. You can watch the process on our People & Making page.
Can I get a rug in a custom size?
Rugs marked “custom sizes available” can be made in other dimensions. Tell us the rug and measurements you need and we’ll confirm the options and price. Ask about a custom size.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Shipping is free worldwide and duties are prepaid, so there's nothing extra to pay on delivery.
What if the rug isn't right?
You get a 30-day trial at home with a full refund. See returns.
Do you work with interior designers?
Yes. Our trade program gives designers 15% off, rising to 20% for regular orders. Learn about trade or email trade@monolithandheart.com.
