About this rug
Wool and jute are handwoven together into an ivory bouclé, a surface of small pebbled loops that feels dense and slightly springy. The pile is high for a woven rug. Made by hand in India, the jute shows as faint natural flecks that differ from rug to rug.
Bedrooms and living rooms where you want something soft to stand on, such as under a bed or in front of a sofa. The higher pile is harder to vacuum and slows a chair that needs to roll.

Measuring. Leave 30–45 cm (12–18 in) of floor showing around the rug. Under a dining table, allow 60 cm (24 in) beyond each side so chairs stay on the rug when pulled out.

Care
- Vacuum on suction only. A beater bar will pull the long pile.
- Shake the rug or turn it face down and vacuum the back now and then to lift grit.
- Blot spills straight away with a clean, dry cloth.
- A high pile sheds in the first weeks. This settles.
- Use a rug pad on hard floors so the rug stays flat and does not slip.
- For a deep clean, use a professional rug cleaner.

Will a new wool rug shed?
New wool rugs can shed loose fibres at first. Gentle, regular vacuuming helps. If you’re concerned about your rug, send us a photo and we’ll help.
How do I look after it?
Vacuum weekly without a beater bar, blot spills with a dry white cloth, rotate every 6–12 months and use a rug pad. Full care guide.
